This policy explains how Prestbury Girls Academy's tour service uses technologies which store information on, or access information from, your browser or device.

That includes ordinary cookies as well as localStorage, sessionStorage, authentication/session technologies, device or workflow identifiers and similar storage/access technologies.

• Secure login, authentication and session management
• Keeping a user connected to the correct booking or tour workflow
• Security, access control and fraud/abuse prevention
• Remembering selected tours, filters or interface preferences where appropriate
• Maintaining short-lived form or workflow state so information is not unnecessarily lost
• Supporting payment, document, consent and booking workflows
• Loading approved third-party services where necessary

Some storage/access technologies are necessary for the service to work securely. These may be used without an optional-consent choice where the law permits because they are genuinely required for a service the user has requested or for security.

We do not describe a technology as necessary merely because it is convenient to us.

The service may use browser storage to preserve preferences, workflow state or information temporarily while a user completes a task.

Because browser storage remains on the device for a period of time, users should avoid entering or leaving sensitive tour information on shared or public devices and should sign out when finished.

Tour features may interact with third-party services such as PayPal, mapping/location services, RallyUp or other providers deliberately used to deliver a booking, payment, fundraising or travel function.

Those providers may set their own cookies or use their own storage technologies when their service is loaded. Their own privacy/cookie information may also apply.

Where we introduce optional analytics, marketing, embedded-media tracking or another non-essential storage/access technology, we will assess whether consent or another statutory exception applies before enabling it.

We will not state that non-essential technologies are active by consent unless an actual consent mechanism is in place.

Browser and device settings can be used to view, block or remove many cookies and stored website data. Blocking essential storage can prevent login, booking, payment or document features from working correctly.

Where an in-site preference control is provided for optional technologies, that control should be used in addition to browser-level controls.

Information obtained through cookies or browser/device storage may itself be personal data. Where it is, it is handled under our Tour Privacy Notice and the Academy's master Privacy & Data Protection Notice.

We may update this policy when the technology used by the service changes or where legal/regulatory requirements change.
